Funding wider community benefit
We focus our funding in five key areas, does your project fit within one or more of these sectors?
To support and strengthen community organisations which address social problems or improve health outcomes for the people in our region.
To support organisations that focus on community participation and engagement in recreation. Targeted support will be provided for those organisations that are aiming to increase participation of people of all ages.
To support projects and programmes that facilitate improved learning outcomes for people in our region by adding value to the sector, with a focus on community development and lifelong learning.
To support projects and organisations that preserve and promote the physical and cultural heritage of our region and that protect and enhance the environment in which we live.
To support creative projects and organisations that aim to foster access to, engagement with and experience in the arts.
We also fund scholarships for tertiary education, CLASS an Art Support Scheme.
Since 2007, Central Lakes Trust (CLT) has awarded Tertiary Education Scholarships annually to the five High Schools in its region; Wakatipu and Dunstan High Schools, Mount Aspiring and Cromwell Colleges and Roxburgh Area School.
Scholarships are for individuals wishing to commence their first year full-time tertiary, apprenticeship or vocational training. Each scholarship is to the value of $2,500.
The purpose of the Central Lakes Arts Support Scheme, known as CLASS, is to increase, at both a local and grass roots level, participation in the arts and the range and diversity of arts available to the community. The maximum amount that can be funded through this Scheme is $2,000 per organisation/group/project/event.
