Mat joined the Central Lakes Trust team in 2018, bringing years of experience working in local government across various roles. Prior to CLT, he held positions in parks and recreation, community development, and governance support.

As part of the team at CLT, Mat most enjoys meeting all the passionate people involved in strengthening and enriching the local community. He finds it rewarding to work in a sector that directly supports the great mahi happening to make the region strong and healthy.

When not at the office, Mat loves to stay active playing a variety of sports. You can find him at the indoor bowling hall, out mountain biking, or on the tennis court. He also appreciates kicking back with a good book during his downtime. An avid reader, Mat never underestimates the power of getting lost in an engaging story.
