Jennifer Huddleston
Intern Trustee
2026 - present
Jennifer was appointed as an Intern Trustee in February 2026. She brings experience in project management, programme design, and collaborative delivery across education, community organisations, and the not-for-profit sector. In her role as Project Manager at Netsafe, she leads initiatives that support online safety and digital wellbeing, partnering with organisations across Aotearoa to develop practical tools, resources, and solutions. Prior to this, Jennifer worked with Sticks ‘n Stones, supporting young people to drive change and lead anti-bullying initiatives in their schools and communities.
Jennifer has been actively involved in community governance across Central Otago for several years. She served as Secretary/Treasurer of the Central Otago A&P Show for eight years, contributed as a Councillor to the Southern Districts Royal Agricultural Society, and supported rural and environmental initiatives through the Ida Valley Catchment Group. She is also a Board Member of Te Ara Tīrama: Youth Impact Network, a new organisation, empowering young people across Aotearoa to connect, collaborate and create change in their communities. These roles have helped to strengthen her skills in governance practice, community engagement, grants processes, and organisational coordination, and this intern position will further build on her capacity.
Based in Central Otago, Jennifer has strong roots in the region through her family, community involvement, and long-standing commitment to local organisations. She is pleased to bring her practical problem-solving and collaborative approach to the Central Lakes Trust through the Intern Trustee role.
