Cromwell College is taking a big step towards sustainability with the installation of solar panels on its Technology Art Block, providing clean energy while supporting a greener future for students and staff.

Principal Mason Stretch says, “Installing solar panels will help reduce our electricity costs, particularly as heating and cooling for the new building are both electric. The savings can then be redirected into teaching resources. We’ll also be displaying the panels’ performance data in the foyer of the T Block and logging it for use in science and maths classes.”

Central Lakes Trust is proud to support initiatives like this, which provide practical benefits today while helping to protect the environment for the future. Supporting renewable energy is one way we can help build a healthier, more sustainable region.

By harnessing the sun’s energy, Cromwell College is leading by example, showing students the power of innovation and sustainability in action.
